We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Patient-Centered Medical Home team. This role provides clinical and administrative support to providers, patients, and care team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Evening and weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams; obtain and document vital signs
- Update medical records, including medications, allergies, pharmacy, and visit reason
- Perform standing orders and assist with clinical procedures (labs, immunizations, screenings, treatments, etc.)
- Support providers during exams and procedures
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up (including no-shows)
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and preventive health
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer systems, phone communication, and documentation
- Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and respect for diverse populations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the medical field preferred.
